10th Great Santiago Warhammer 40k Championship

On June 8th and 9th of this year, the 10th edition of the Great Warhammer 40k Championship took place as scheduled in Santiago de Compostela.

It’s worth noting that this is not an official Games Workshop event but rather a nonprofit competition organized by members of the Shadowsun Club, who gathered other players to help organize the event. The event received support from the community and sponsors.

This tournament continues under the name "miniGT," but since its inception in 2010, it has become more and more "maxi" in scale. This year, the competition will once again be upgraded, with over 180 participants forming six-person teams to compete for the championship.

The tournament is structured as a team competition, with each team consisting of 6 members. The rules follow the 2000-point WTC format. The tournament will use WTC standard terrain, combined with classic ruin configurations, to ensure fairness and challenge in every match. All participating models must be carefully painted, and any unofficial models or conversions must be approved by the organizers.

For the new guy, this tournament is not just a simple event but an opportunity to delve deeper into the Warhammer universe. The event will cover all aspects that enthusiasts love: from painting, gameplay, and backstory, with the main focus on the competitive.
